For pole dancing classes - We get a grip on the pole with bare skin for body grips and leg hangs so it's best to wear form fitting short shorts and a strappy top.
We totally understand not everyone is comfy wearing tiny shorts and cropped tops though and for the first few lessons most people wear leggings as they feel comfier this way.
This will restrict what we can safely show you though so we’d recommend short leggings or some you can roll up and perhaps bring some shorts too
Barefoot, socks, pole heels or trainers - the choice is yours (there are some moves that we need our feet for though)
For Hoop - form fitting leggings and tops are best for hoop
For Flexibility Classes - we recommend leggings and a comfy top (bring socks so you can slide when we train our splits)
We build our strength as we train - the same as in a gym. in your first pole dancing class or pole fitness class, you might find it hard to lift yourself at first, but we will help you build up the strength for more advanced holds through conditioning & spins as you train with us
It can do. Both poles & hoops are metal and you are likely to suffer bruises & friction burns as your body gets used to gripping them.
The phrase New Move New Bruise is synonymous with Pole dancing and pole fitness
Everyone progresses at a different pace and we all have different body types & strengths & weaknesses so it will differ per person
it is hard work, but fun and perseverance pays off :)
