This Privacy Notice tells you how we (The Foxx Den Pole Dancing) collect and use data about you and why
The Foxx Den Pole Dancing is a trading name of The Foxx Den Ltd and is a Data Controller. This means we decide what data about you (Personal Data) we collect, how we collect it and what we use it for.
You can contact us at foxxdenpoledancing@gmail.com if you have any questions about the data we collect or how we use it
We only use your data for the things you would expect a dance and fitness studio to.
and we only collect and store the data we need to run and manage our classes and to keep you all safe
We use several third parties to support us who are also data controllers in some circumstances, and therefore have obligations to you. You should have a look at their privacy policies as well as this one (we've added links below)
More detail on how we use data about you and who its shared with is in the sections below. If you have any questions please email us at foxxdenpoledancing@gmail.com.
The Foxx Den uses a booking system to manage our classes (Bookwhen) which requires you to create an account with them (you can delete this at any time) and a Payment Gateway (Stripe) to take and manage your payments.
To register and buy class passes and book into a class, our Booking System and Payment Gateway providers collect data needed to process the payment and reserve the space you asked for. We have configured the booking system to only require you to give them the minimum data needed to make and manage your bookings
They make this data available to us so we can fulfil the contract we have made with you - ie to manage the bookings you have made with us and provide you the classes paid for.
You must provide your name and your email address to buy and take a class with us, this is so we can send you confirmation of your booking and so you can manage it (eg cancel it or transfer it) and so we know who is coming to class.
Our Payment Gateway, Stripe, handles your payments so we don't ever see your card details, only that you have made a successful payment. They also provide us the facility to refund you if needed. We need this data in case of any disputes to show who made a payment and when.
We will ask you for a phone number when you book. This is so we can contact you if we need to cancel or change a class. You don't have to give us this, but if you don't, we can't let you know about any last minutes changes we might need to make. We won't use it for anything else if you do give it us.
If you email us, we keep a copy of your email and our reply for 2 years and these may contain information that relates to you (eg your email address). It is a legitimate interest for us to keep these emails so we can reference any interactions we have had with you through this channel. Our interest is to resolve any complaints, and/or support any legal claims made against us.
Pole dancing is strenuous on the body and, as we are often up in the air hanging by our legs, an activity that comes with a risk of injury.
Because of this, we have provided a space on our booking form for an emergency contact. You are not required to provide one, but if you do we will only use these details in an emergency.
In each class your instructor will ask you to let them know about any injuries or conditions you have that might impact you in class or that they should be aware of to keep you safe.
You don't have to tell them, but they have a duty of care to you whilst you are in a class, so its important you tell them anything relevant so they can make any adjustments needed or help you if there is an emergency (for example if you have epilepsy your instructor needs to be aware there is a risk you may have a seizure)
We wont write this information down, we only need to know while you are in class in case of an emergency. We would only use or share this information in an emergency or if an accident occurred and it was relevant
When you book a class we ask you if we can contact you about future events. If you say No, it won't impact any bookings with us, it just means we won't email you to tell you about any other events or classes we are holding.
You can change your response to this any time you book a class with us or by emailing us at foxxdenpoledancing@gmail.com
If you "tag"the studio in social media posts we will repost these on our studio account / pages.
We won't film you or take photo's of you at the studio without asking your permission first.
You can ask us to delete any images/ videos that you appear in from our social media accounts at any point by emailing us at foxxdenpoledancing@gmail.com
We won't share your data with anyone unless we are required to so by law, or in an emergency.
