To be safe on the pole and get the grip we need, we need to have a fair amount of skin on show.
It's natural to feel self conscious during your first few classes, we all have some hang ups about how our bodies look.
We recommend starting off in shorts and a strappy T-shirt but for your first few lessons you will be fine in leggings which can be rolled up as we will start with techniques and spins which don't need as much grip. Bring a pair of shorts as you'll quickly feel at ease with us. and having no leg grip will restrict what you can try
As you progress to more advanced tricks you will find you need your legs and side to grip more and more.
At The Foxx Den you will learn to love what your body can do and in time may find that your pole outfits become smaller and your body confidence improves. We have no restrictions on what pole outfits that are acceptable - as long as you are comfy wear it
We don't have many mirrors so if you don't feel comfy looking at your self you can use a pole where you can't see yourself
Pole Dance Heels are welcome in our classes and we also host heels specific classes - we recommend Hella Heels, Level Up Heels or Pleasers as these shoes and boots are made for pole dancing by pole dancers.
Boots or shoes - the choice is yours; We generally recommend closed toe boots for the heels tricks classes
These are strongly recommended for our heels classes as you will spend a fair about of time on your knees
We welcome you ti wear what you feel comfortable in whilst in our safe space.
As our studio is in a communal building which hosts all sorts of activities and the toilets are communal and you will need to wander to them from the studio, we recommend bringing something to pop over the top of you for when you nip out to them.
